About this tool
A SIP calculator shows what a systematic investment plan could grow into. With a SIP you invest a fixed amount every month into a mutual fund, and each contribution compounds over time. Enter your monthly investment, the expected annual return and the number of years, and this calculator instantly shows the projected maturity value, the total you invested and the estimated returns on top.
The projection assumes you invest at the start of each month and that returns compound monthly. Because every installment keeps earning for the months that follow, the maturity value grows far faster than the simple total of your contributions — the longer you stay invested, the larger that gap becomes. A higher expected return or a longer period both lift the final figure, but time in the market does the heaviest lifting.
Use it to plan a mutual fund SIP, set a monthly amount you can sustain, or compare how different return assumptions change the outcome before you commit. Returns are an estimate, not a guarantee — actual fund performance varies. Everything is calculated in your browser, so your investment figures are never uploaded, logged or stored anywhere.
Examples
Input
$500 per month at 12% expected annual return for 10 years
Output
Maturity $116,170 · invested $60,000 · returns $56,170
Returns nearly match the amount you put in over a decade.
Input
$1,000 per month at 10% expected annual return for 15 years
Output
Maturity $417,924 · invested $180,000 · returns $237,924
Input
$250 per month at 8% expected annual return for 5 years
Output
Maturity $18,492 · invested $15,000 · returns $3,492
Over a short period the corpus stays close to what you invested.
Input
$2,000 per month at 12% expected annual return for 20 years
Output
Maturity $1,998,296 · invested $480,000 · returns $1,518,296
Over 20 years compounding contributes more than three times your contributions.

- A first-time investor wanting to see the gap between total invested and estimated returns before committing.
- A planner stress-testing a 20-year SIP to understand how compounding rewards staying invested longer.
Frequently asked questions
Is this SIP calculator free?+
Yes. It is completely free to use with no sign-up, no limits and no hidden charges.
What is a SIP?+
SIP stands for Systematic Investment Plan — a way of investing a fixed amount into a mutual fund at regular intervals, usually every month, so your money is invested steadily over time rather than in one lump sum.
How is SIP maturity value calculated?+
It uses the future value of a monthly annuity: M · ((1+i)^n − 1) / i · (1+i), where M is the monthly investment, i is the monthly rate (annual return ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of months. Each installment compounds for the months remaining after it is invested.
Are the returns guaranteed?+
No. The result is a projection based on the expected return you enter. Real mutual fund returns vary with the market and may be higher or lower, so treat the figure as an estimate for planning, not a promise.
Is my investment data private?+
Yes. Every calculation runs locally in your browser. Your monthly amount, expected return and period are never sent to a server, logged or stored.
